# Do I have to allow the app to access my location?

Yes, location access is necessary for the FlexDrive app to reliably record your driving data and analyse your driving style.

The location data is used exclusively to evaluate driving behaviour and calculate premiums – **no movement profiles are created.**

Without location access, important functions such as calculating your score cannot be used.
