# How does BasisDrive work?

With **BasisDrive**, you pay a fixed annual premium. Your driving behaviour or mileage are irrelevant; it is a ‘flat-rate insurance’, so to speak.

When you take out the contract, you can choose whether you want to pay your premium annually or semi-annually.

You will receive the invoice for your BasisDrive contract as a QR-bill by e-mail.
