How long does it take for the insurance certificate to be ready at the road traffic office?

As a rule, we electronically send your insurance certificate to the competent cantonal road traffic office within a few minutes of concluding the contract.

You do not need to take any further action – the certificate is transmitted automatically after the contract has been concluded. You can find an overview of all cantonal road traffic offices here: Addresses of the road traffic offices. Once the certificate has been transmitted, you will receive a confirmation by email.
