# Is there a deductible?

### **✅ Yes**

The deductible is the amount you **pay yourself per insurance year** before simpego covers the remaining costs, minus any excess.



### **🐶 For dogs:**
* **Up to 9 years old**: £0, £300, £500, 1,000 or 2,000
* **From 9 years**: £300, 500, 1,000 or 2,000

### **🐱 For cats:**
* **Up to 9 years**: £0, 150, 300, 500 or 1,000
* **From 9 years**: CHF 150, 300, 500 or 1,000

📌 Important: The deductible applies **per insurance year**– not per calendar year.
