# My pet is seriously ill and my vet recommends that I put it to sleep. Are the costs covered?

The insurance covers the costs of euthanasia due to illness or an accident, provided the treatment is recommended by a vet. The assumption of costs depends on the sum insured selected, the excess and the assumption of costs.
