What happens if my pet sitter (dog sitter) suddenly cancels?

If your designated pet sitter becomes seriously ill or dies shortly before your trip and you are therefore unable to travel, Cancellation costs insurance will cover the contractual cancellation costs.

If your dog sitter falls seriously ill or dies during your absence and the care of your dog or cat can no longer be guaranteed, Personal assistance will cover:

✅ Unplanned return travel costs
✅ Additional accommodation costs (within the scope of coverage)

Appropriate proof (e.g. doctor's certificate) is required.

For events relating to an insured pet, a maximum benefit of CHF 5,000 per event applies.
