# When and how do I have to report my first kilometre reading?

At the start of the contract, you will receive an e-mail and an SMS from us. Within 10 days, you must report the initial mileage of your vehicle via the FlexDrive app.

If you fail to do so, your contract will be switched to BasisDrive with a fixed annual premium (the CAP premium of your FlexDrive contract) on the 11th day. This means that you will no longer be entitled to the kilometre model.

The switch will be made retroactively from the start of the contract, and the new flat-rate contract (= BasisDrive) will be adjusted accordingly.
